Springtime Neighborhood Receptions

The Stewardship Ministry and the Vestry present a springtime version of the Neighborhood Receptions that celebrated All Saints’ Weekend last November. Receptions will be hosted in the homes of parishioners at various times during the weekend of May 18 – 20.

The Dinner Series:How Should We Speak to One Another? - May 23rd at 7pm

we will end the Dinner Series with a one-week panel discussion called, “How should We Speak To One Another?” A group of panelists from an organization called Civil Politics will join us to lead us in a discussion on how to remain engaged and yet practice civility and compassionate in life and in public discourse.

The Dinner Series: Birth of Science in the Judeo-Christian Culture - May 9th - 16th

Don Allison will explore the relationship between science and religion. He will help us think through the birth of science in the Judeo-Christian culture of the West, and lead us on a whistle-stop tour through the works and theories of Einstein and Stephen Hawking and reflect on the role that compassion plays in a scientific view of the world. Meets Wednesdays, May 9 and 16 at 7:00pm.

Join Susanna Funsten, who will be leading a discussion on Compassion and the New Testament, examining what Jesus and the New Testament teaches about compassion.
The evening will begin with dinner, followed by a presentation and then group discussion with those at your table. Meets Wednesdays, May 9 and 16 at 7:00pm.

CAST Get on the Bus Food Prep

The CAST will be using their monthly Food on Foot prep time and resources to assemble breakfast bags for the children and families going to visit incarcerated moms with Get on the Bus for Mother’s Day. The teens welcome donations of individually packaged muffins, danish, fruit, bottled water, brown paper bags, juice boxes, string cheese and granola bars.
