Maundy Thursday Choral Eucharist

In a service of Holy Eucharist, we remember this day of Holy Week when Jesus institutes the Eucharist (mandate: "Do as I do"), washes the disciples' feet and leaves to face death within hours. The altar is stripped to visually symbolize Jesus leaving us.

The Watch
Thursday, April 1, 8:30pm
As Jesus asked the disciples to keep watch while he prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, we keep a silent vigil. The Watch takes place in All Saints' Chapel, starting after the Maundy Thursday service and ending at 12:00 noon on Good Friday. A security guard will be on duty throughout. We commemorate this day of great sadness but with the certain knowledge of joy to come. Following betrayal, arrest, desertion, denial, condemnation, beatings and mockery, Jesus carries his cross to Golgotha (The Place of the Skull) for death by crucifixion.
