Mercy & Justice Ministries are present and vital
to the life of All Saints Church as a way of deepening our commitment
to Discipleship and allowing us to follow and demonstrate the teaching
we believe.
There are three components to the mission and goals of Mercy & Justice
Outreach:
To assist people in having the tools to better experience the Kingdom
of God. The tools are respect, hospitality, food, clothing, health,
education, comfort and worship. Mercy & Justice Ministries provide
opportunities to assist people in need on a local, national and international
basis.
To assist volunteers in determining how their skills and call to service
can best be applied to helping others. The commitments can be a single
monthly pick-up or delivery of goods, teaching adults to read weekly,
assisting with hospitality and comfort, traveling to areas in need of
medical or building assistance or other activities as outlined in the
attached program summaries.
To assist the ministry participants to deepen their faith and discipleship.
It is important to remember that service is part of spiritual
growth and deepening faith. Our ability to ease suffering, aid others
and enable them to help themselves unleashes a powerful and prayerful
response within us. This is work that allows us to listen to God’s
call.
