Jenna, Hannah, Olivia, Charlie & Ben were in the car with Maggie & Jamie Burns. Chip, Annette, Rachel & Jamie Bando were in the car with Chris Ellis. Anneliese, Natasha, Margaret, Alec, William, Logan & Mae were in the car with Mary.
Many of us listened to show tunes, napped, and played the movie game. We had two bathroom breaks before lunch. We stopped for lunch in Flagstaff around 2pm for lunch at Burger King & Quiznos. We had one more bathroom stop before we made it to Navajoland.
Jamie Bando suggested we take the scenic route, through Mexican Hat, on the way and it was beautiful!
We got to the mission at 7:25 pm (with the one hour time difference that put us right at 12 hours!). We unloaded all the cars and then came to the realization that we had more people than available sleeping quarters. So the boys made a make-shift wall out of a bookshelf in the common area, and threw 6 mattresses on the floor (true missionaries). And the girls split up into the two rooms (Annette, Rachel, Chip, Hannah and Jenna in one room, and Natasha, Anneliese, Margaret & Mae in the other. The 3 female leaders took the walk-in storage closet, and Chris Ellis in the hallway...with his 5 pillows.
We had spaghetti for dinner and Father Red and his wife came over to talk to us. We have lots of work projects waiting for us.
Tomorrow we are heading into Cortez,CO for food and supplies.
We had a really peaceful evening prayer, and now all the kids are playing a very loud card game. :)
