DAY 2 - July 16th, 2011

We departed at 5:30am completely avoiding even a whisper of carmageddon. All the kids in two of the cars fell asleep immediately. Maggie's red car began a 14-hour Glee sing-a-long in full force. Anneliese & Mae provided most of the show tunes, Natasha told stories of Navajoland, Abrienne navigated us on her iPhone, and Sidney turned 3 shades of green by the time we hit flagstaff, but once she switched to the front seat she was belting out Justin Beiber songs with us all.

Renegade, the other red car, had Jamie Bando, Jenna & Rachel telling hours of Navajoland stories to Kelsi and Andrew which got them super pumped! They also had some deep rooted psychology conversations. We may have a few future psych majors... Thank you Mr. Fuligni. :)

Blackhawk, Jamie's car, enjoyed Logan's Russian Rock-n-roll, as well as the hilarious Craft boy banter. Ben & Charlie Tamm, who spent most of the time in the back seat, took random crazy stretch breaks...we didn't realize we were traveling with contortionists!

We had some good old fashioned country cookin' at cracker barrel. And made it into Bluff as the sun was setting. The community center is in great shape! Tomorrow morning Father Red is coming over to welcome us.

We ended the day by saying what we were grateful for today. And everyone had something different to share.

So excited for a great week!!
