When will Carol Anderson retire?
Carol plans to retire in January, 2010. Her last day is expected to be January 10.
Who will call the next Rector?
The Vestry will call the next Rector. The Vestry has appointed a Search Committee that is charged with recruiting and interviewing candidates. The Search Committee will submit three qualified candidates to the Vestry for consideration. The Vestry will interview them and after an extensive review process will make the final call.
Am I able to suggest names for a candidate?
We have received many names from parishioners, but the submission deadline has now past and we are accepting no further names.
How long is the search process?
We hope that the search process will be concluded late in 2009.
When will the new Rector start?
There may be a time gap between Carol leaving and the new Rector starting. After the Vestry has offered the position to a candidate there may be a time of transition. If the new Rector cannot start within a few months, the Vestry may appoint an Interim Rector until our new Rector arrives.
How will the congregation be kept informed during this search?
There will be frequent bulletin and website updates and quarterly forums after services on Sunday mornings. The names of the candidates being interviewed must remain confidential but the parish will be informed about the process.
What is the Parish Profile?
The Parish Profile is a comprehensive guide of our history, our worship, music, ministries, outreach programs, our staff and the financial statement of our church. It tells us who we are as a community and where we hope to go. The final Parish Profile is now available here on All Saints’ website as a downloadable pdf. The Parish Profile is a tool used to recruit candidates in our search for a new Rector and also contains a Rector Profile (also available here as a separate downloadable pdf).
