Dear God,
Thank you for the blessing of Carol Anderson and the Spirit-filled leadership she has brought to our Parish. She is truly Your servant. Be with her in this time of transition. Temper her loss with the joy and excitement of looking forward to a new period in her life. Care for her and bring her to a new home where she can continue her path with You. Bless her as she has blessed us and keep her safe in Your Almighty Hands.

Dear God,
We pray for the Vestry. Grant them open minds and discerning hearts. Let them offer the weight of this decision fully into Your hands. Unify their intentions and attune them to Your will so that the choice that is made reflects the direction You are calling us to.

We Pray for the New Rector
Dear God,
Be with our new Rector, Lord, whoever and wherever he or she may be. Open his or her heart to our call; let there be mutual recognition of the aptness of need and fit between us. Help this person to see us as we are, disciples making disciples, and reveal to him or her how to move us closer to our vision of a world transformed by Jesus.

We Pray for the Search Committee
Dear God,
We pray for the Search Committee as they assess the needs of our congregation and evaluate the candidates for Rector. Grant them open minds, perceptive hearts, balance and integrity in their work together, responsiveness to all points of view and unity of purpose. Holy Spirit, our needs are great. Help them to recognize that Your guiding hand is in their midst ready to reveal that which they should do, if they will but listen with open hearts.
