Teens at All Saints’

Middle School Youth Group:

Our Middle School Youth Group is an active and engaging community where all are encouraged to explore their faith, make friends, and have a ton of fun. Through a variety of interactive activities, games, discussions, and events, we help middle schoolers grow in their relationship with God while building lifelong friendships.

High School Youth Group:

Our High School Youth Group is a place where older youth can delve deeper into what this faith means to and for them. Each participant is encouraged to explore, debate, and ultimately own their faith. We provide a safe space for high schoolers to ask questions, seek answers, and grow spiritually together. We explore relevant topics and engage in meaningful discussions, rooted in who Jesus says that we are and are called to be. This group also offers the opportunity to go through the Sacramental Rite of Confirmation, which results in the opportunity to confirm the faith of their baptism with the Bishop of Los Angeles.

Both of our youth groups meet simultaneously on Sunday afternoons with our clergy and youth volunteers. Lunch is served at 12:30, or just after our 11:30am service. Following lunch they then break out into age groups from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. We close each youth group with our youth and parents joining together for a prayer as one family under our loving God.

Acolytes

7th through 12th graders have the unique and exciting opportunity to participate all year long in this wonderful ministry. Acolytes are divided into teams and assist during church services. Volunteers are also needed as coordinators for each team. This ministry is an opportunity to learn about the Anglican tradition, meet new friends and have fun.

Summer Service Project

Upon completing their 9th grade year, teens are invited to go on a summer service project trip.  The summer trip combines all the elements of youth group: prayer, service, outreach, peer support, team building, and worship.

Each summer teens and leaders travel to Northern California to work on a variety of volunteer outreach efforts and to share adventures.  These teens and their leaders grow in ways we never imagined.   The work projects can be simple yet meaningful: time in a senior citizen center, helping a local family with a huge yard clean-up and landscaping, serving at a Foodbank and supporting an eyes screening clinic for underprivileged kids.  The group bonds and works together through outdoor action adventures such as camping, whitewater rafting, hiking and more.  The teens share nightly worship, midweek praise service and also visit a very different Episcopal church, St. Gregory of Nyssa, while traveling through San Francisco. If you’re looking for a life-changing experience with a group of teenagers – this is it!

This life-changing trip, created by the teens, for the teens, is entirely supported by CAST fundraisers and student tuition. This experience has empowered participants, equipped them for adulthood and helped them define and celebrate their spiritual gifts – not to mention the help and love for their world and their church. These nine days are truly transformational.  Just ask the teens
